By 2030, the ambition is to restore 100 million hectares of currently degraded land, sequester 250 million tonnes of carbon and create a minimum of 350,000 jobs in rural areas.

It all started when…

 

In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.

 
 

 

HOW DOES THE GREAT GREEN WALL HELP THE SDG's?

 

Specifically target 15.3 is our mission. By 2030, we need to combat desertification, restore degraded land
and soil, including land affected by desertification, drought and floods, and strive to achieve a land
degradation-neutral world.
